Part of Gulfstream Internet Group, PhoneHog is a subscription-based product that rewards members with free long distance phone calls. Customers earn minutes by visiting sites, entering sweepstakes, or trying new products and services. They have over three million members.
PhoneHog came to Optimost to improve the conversion rate on the registration page at www.phonehog.com. Since PhoneHog is a subscription-based service, it is critical to figure out the best solution of copy, offers, images, etc. that will maximize the signup rate for people who come to the PhoneHog website.
The Optimost Professional Service team identified ten elements, or variables, on the page to be tested, including the top image, main headline, introductory copy, copy order, product description page layout, and submit area. The Optimost platform was then able to generate almost 17 million versions of the page, and perform multivariable testing on a subset of those permutations.
As a result of Optimost's testing, PhoneHog was able to identify a winning registration page that improved conversion rates by 38% in a little over one month.
