Sales Engineer
Location: New York City or San Francisco Bay Area
We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer to support our sales efforts and help build our client base. The role of the Sales Engineer is to partner with our outside and inside sales staff to clearly articulate the Optimost solution to prospective customers, educate such prospects on matters of technical integration, and match our proposed solution to their needs and business drivers.
The Sales Engineer will drive revenues by managing the technical pre-sales process and evangelizing Optimost technology to prospective customers. You will work closely with the direct sales team to educate prospective customers about Optimost’s solution, including conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations, technical objection handling, proposals, and follow up on all customer related issues. You will also be responsible for working with the marketing department to develop internal sales tools and customer presentations to help educate both employees and prospects on the technical matters related to the Optimost solution.
Candidates should have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
- 6+ years experience in a customer facing environment such as sales or technical consulting
- High level of both business and technical acumen
- Strong background in client-side programming and a thorough understanding of Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML
- Experience in one or more back-end programming languages, such as PHP and ASP is preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Must have experience developing and enhancing strong client relationships
